First of all I would like to apologise in behalf of the Swedish hockey. I just saw that you got suspended two games and also got a unreasonable high fine for luckless hit. I don’t see any attempt whatsoever that you are trying to hit him. It do agree with you that it’s your job to try to box the Malmö player out and prevent him from reaching closer to your goal. That is part of your job as a defenseman. I can see that you’re reading the pass and have no purpose on trying to actually hit him. Your shoulder is down and there is no upward movement. But. I do see there is a hit to the head. But from my point of view it’s more accidental then you are doing it on purpose. The case would have been different if you have done the same thing several times and it was time for the league to set en example and therefore suspend you. From watching you play here for nearly three season I don’t see you as an dirty player och a guy the sneaks up on your opponent to give cheap shots. I therefore feel kind om ashamed that you are getting suspended. I will always stand up for the physical part of the game. Every time people say that it’s not aloud to hit in Swedish hockey I get kind of mad and will try try to prove them wrong by showing clips of good hits. Now I have no words. You got punished for a hit that wasn’t even a hit. I really hope that this suspension doesn’t change your picture of Swedish hockey and SHL.
